Solutions Bottleneck Detection
Bottleneck DetectionThroughput Bottleneck Analyzer
Pinpoint where cases stall, why, and what the marginal cost of the delay is across each step of a process.
Description
The analyzer combines waiting-time analysis with case attributes (region, value band, customer tier) to show where queues form and which segments suffer most. It is designed for operations managers who own throughput targets and need to choose between capacity, automation, and policy interventions. Output includes a prioritised list of bottlenecks with a sensitivity calculation: how much would removing this delay matter? The tool intentionally avoids prescriptive recommendations — interpretation remains a human task.
What is included
- Waiting-time decomposition by step and segment
- Sensitivity analysis comparing intervention candidates
- Cost overlay using configurable per-hour or per-case rates
- CSV / Parquet export for downstream analytics teams
- Role-based views for operations versus finance stakeholders
What you can expect from this engagement
- 01 A ranked list of bottlenecks with quantified marginal impact
- 02 Visibility into delays caused by approval thresholds and policy gates
- 03 A reusable measurement framework for ongoing throughput tracking
Three questions buyers actually ask
Do you recommend specific automation tools?
No. We deliberately leave automation tool selection to your engineering and procurement teams. The analyzer tells you where intervention would matter most; it does not pick the vendor.
Can you find bottlenecks if we have very few cases per month?
Below roughly 200 cases per month, the statistical significance of bottleneck detection is limited. We will tell you this honestly during scoping.
How is the per-hour cost rate calculated?
We use the rate you provide. We do not infer cost from compensation data and we do not retain the rate after the engagement closes unless you license the dashboard.
What clients have said
-
The sensitivity view changed which intervention we funded. We had been about to invest in the wrong queue.
-
Honest delivery. They told us the data did not support a clear answer for one of the four bottlenecks we asked about, which I respected.
-
Worth the diagnostic engagement; we did not renew the dashboard because our volume did not justify it. That conversation went smoothly.
